On the construction of efficient equineighboured incomplete block designs having block size 3. (English) Zbl 0976.62076
Summary: We consider the problem of constructing equineighboured incomplete block designs having blocks of size 3 which are efficient under standard intrablock analysis. Such designs are also efficient when experimental units adjacent within blocks are correlated or when least squares nearest neighbour analysis is used to analyze data from an experiment because of suspected but unknown smooth trends within blocks. The methods of construction given are cyclic and partially cyclic in nature.
