# zbMATH — the first resource for mathematics

Table of integrals, series, and products. Translated from the Russian. Translation edited and with a preface by Alan Jeffrey and Daniel Zwillinger. 6th ed. (English) Zbl 0981.65001
San Diego, CA: Academic Press. xlvii, 1163 p. (2000).
The present volume is a completely reset sixth edition of the well known best seller of the authors, incorporating several corrections and additions to the previous one. (See Zbl 0918.65001, Zbl 0918.65002, Zbl 0521.33001, as regards earlier versions.)
The ever expanding horizon of special functions and polynomials always reveals suprises in the relationships (expansions, integrals and connections) among functions and efforts to update and incorporate these can be daunting task! The present compendium, in this context, is bound to enhance its usability. The quality of production remains excellent.
I do hope that future editions will incorporate, in a more significant and meaningful way, identities involving basic hypergeometric series as well as arithmetic functions.
However painstaking the efforts are, errors creep in and the present volume is not exception (e.g. p. 651, $$6\cdot 463$$; p. 1027, $$9\cdot 524$$; p. 1031, $$9\cdot 615)$$! On the whole, a welcome and competent revision indeed.
