Finite volume methods for eigenvalue problems. (English) Zbl 0983.65124
Based on a linear finite element space, two symmetric finite volume schemes are proposed for selfadjoint elliptic eigenvalue problems. Both convergence and superconvergence are discussed. A priori error estimates are proved. Numerical results are presented.
