Too many functors. (English) Zbl 0985.18005
Koslowski, Jürgen (ed.) et al., Categorical perspectives. Papers from the international conference held in honor of George E. Strecker on the occasion of his 60th birthday at Kent State University, Kent, OH, USA, August 1998. Boston, MA: Birkhäuser. Trends in Mathematics. 47-62 (2001).
This paper continues “The emergence of functors” published in the same proceedings [Y. T. Rhineghost, in: ibid., Trends in Mathematics. 37-45 (2001; Zbl 0985.18004)]. By a form of a dialogue, the existence and uniqueness of set functors fulfilling a given family of cardinality equations is discussed. Some problems about set functors are formulated.
