Exact solitary wave solutions to a combined KdV and mKdV equation. (English) Zbl 0988.76014

Summary: An exact travelling wave kink soliton solution to a combination KdV and mKdV equations is given by using a homogeneous balance method, and a two-dimensional generalization is also discussed.
