The author studies the diffraction of a plane wave by a bounded body and by a cone of arbitrary shape in the case of perfect reflection, solving the point-source diffraction problem and then moving the source to infinity along a fixed direction. The paper presents rigorous proofs for this construction where the case of a cone reflector is rather involved.
