The authors propose a new approach to the solution of a class of problems on contact interaction of layers in structurally nonhomogeneous revolution shells. Both normal and tangential stresses occurring in the contact zones are taken into account. A two-layer cylindrical shell exposed to the lumped force is considered as an example.
