Ansoldi, Stefano WKB metastable quantum states of a de Sitter-Reissner-Nordström dust shell. (English) Zbl 1025.83014 Classical Quantum Gravity 19, No. 24, 6321-6344 (2002). In this paper the author uses a general relativistic shell to analyze the problem of quantization of a gravitational system. He studies the semiclassical quantum dynamics in the case in which the shell separates an interior spacetime of the de Sitter geometry from an exterior of the extremal Reissner-Nordström type. In section 2 all relevant definitions are given; in section 3 the classical dynamics of the system is sketched; in section 4 the classical action is numerically evaluated for bounded trajectories; in section 5 the Bohr-Sommerfeld quantization condition which characterizes the properties of the semiclassical quantum system is given.
