Panchev, S. Two ecological models based on the logistic equation. (English) Zbl 1033.37049 Bull. Calcutta Math. Soc. 94, No. 1, 59-66 (2002). The author suggests two models for the evolution of a prey species under the assumption of coexistence of a predator species as a feedback loop. These are obtained by modification of the well-known logistic equation. Stationary points for the corresponding two-dimensional maps are obtained and their stability is studied. Numerical data are presented and possible extensions to higher-dimensional models are prompted. Reviewer: Yuri V.
