Buckling of a Timoshenko beam on elastic foundation with uncertain input data. (English) Zbl 1037.74018
Summary: We prove a monotone dependence of the critical buckling load of a simply supported Timoshenko-Mindlin beam both on the shear correction factor and on the stiffness of foundation. Then the worst-scenario method is employed to find the ‘most dangerous’ input data.
