Summary: The present contribution proposes the use of the Cox regression model for the description of dynamics of unemployment data. We consider the case of aggregated data when both the numbers of followed objects and the numbers of observed events are summarized in discrete time periods and covariate classes. The formulation of the model, the procedure of estimation of its parameters, and the prediction and tests of fit will be presented. A numerical example shows the analysis of unemployment data from CR in the period 1993–1999.
