Providence, RI: American Mathematical Society (ISBN 0-8218-3678-1/pbk). xiii, 307 p. (2004).
This book is an elementary introduction to knot theory. The first edition was published by Freeman and Co. in 1993 (see Zbl 0840.57001). The new edition is identical to an update published in 2001 by Owl Books. The changes from the 1994 edition are few; they include updates on the status of open problems and an updated bibliography. The book is well-written, enjoyable to read, and very accessible.
