A new finite element scheme for Landau-Lifschitz equations. (English) Zbl 1152.35304

Summary: We describe a new implicit finite element scheme for the discretization of Landau-Lifschitz equations. A proof of convergence of the numerical solution to a (weak) solution of the original equations is given and numerical tests showing the applicability of the method are also provided.
