Summary: In this paper, we consider the smash product algebras over Hopf algebroids. By integral theory for Hopf algebroids, we obtain a Maschke-type theorem for smash products and construct a Morita context over Hopf algebroids, which generalizes the corresponding result in literature. As an application, we obtain the Maschke-type theorem for comodule algebras over Hopf algebroids.
