The numerical solution of higher index linear time varying singular systems of differential equations. (English) Zbl 0664.65084
A family of Taylor-type methods is given for solving numerically a large class of singular systems of differential equations of the form \(A(t)x'(t)+B(t)x(t)=f(t)\). The advantages, disadvantages, and implementation of these methods are discussed and several analytical and numerical examples are given.
