This particular collection of problems in number theory and combinatorics by Erdős is rather special. It is centered around problems on which the author worked with the late Pál Turán over the past 50 years or so. As such it contains touching and personal anecdotes from (as Erdős would say) the very distant days of their youth, as well as brief comments of Turán’s major contributions to these areas. It is also liberally sprinkled with a variety of tantalizing problems, many of which have resisted significant progress for some 40 years.
