Convergence of a fully discrete scheme for two-dimensional neutron transport. (English) Zbl 0538.65097
Authors’ summary: We prove an error estimate for a fully discrete method for the numerical solution of a two-dimensional model problem in neutron transport theory based on using the discrete ordinates method for the angular variable and the discontinuous Galerkin finite element method with piecewise linear trial functions for the space variable.
