Sur l’équilibre des liquides magnétiques, application à la magnétostatique. (French) Zbl 0539.76119
Summary: Magnetic liquids can be shaped by externally applied, constant magnetic fields. The study of stable equilibria is done in the way of a variational principle which leads to local conditions on the free boundary. The results are applied to liquid metals submitted to high frequency magnetic fields.
