A mathematical model of the mechanical system with a rotating flexible beam introduced earlier by the author is considered. The problem of minimizing the square of the control norm is considered for fixed initial and finite states of the system. For this purpose, the optimal control problem is reduced to Lagrange’s problem by using the Brunovsky canonical form.
