The general state-space model for a two-dimensional linear digital system. (English) Zbl 0561.93034
A new general state-space model for a 2-D linear system is presented. Using a new definition of state-transition matrix the general response formula for the general model is derived. A new definition of the characteristic function is given and a theorem parallel to the Cayley- Hamilton theorem is presented.
