Davet, J. L.; Destuynder, Ph. Singularités logarithmiques dans les effets de bord d’une plaque en matériaux composites (Logarithmic singularities in the edge effect of a composite plate). (French) Zbl 0564.73066 J. Méc. Théor. Appl. 4, 357-373 (1985). It is shown that the in-plane or transverse shear stress can be infinite near the clamped or free edge of a composite plate. As a matter of fact these singularities are of logarithmic type. The influence of the fiber direction with respect to the boundary is pointed out.
