Sanchez-Hubert, Jacqueline; Turbé, Nicole Propriétés spectrales des ondes élastiques dans un domaine allongé convergeant vers une bande périodique (Spectral properties of elastic waves in an alongated domain converging to a periodic band). (French) Zbl 0573.73030 C. R. Acad. Sci., Paris, Sér. II 299, 1105-1108 (1984). We study the spectral family for elastic waves in a periodic band. The existence of generalized eigenfunctions, Bloch waves, leads to an expansion of the solution, in terms of these functions. From this we deduce the spectral family. Then, we study the convergence of the spectral families for waves in the truncated domain.
