Summary: A mixed finite element method of the stress-displacement-pressure type is introduced for the numerical study of incompressible viscoelastic media, whose physical coefficients depend on time. The compatibility condition between the three discrete spaces are fulfilled, though the same kind of shape functions is used for both stresses and pressure.
