The author’s book is certainly of good scientific quality and will definitely be a valuable reference on the main mathematical methods in modelling biological systems.
It is not obvious, however, at which category of readers this book is aimed. It can certainly not be considered as a basic treatise for those who do not have already a deep knowledge of mathematics. On the other hand mathematicians will most probably not find here what they would like to learn about biology.
