Summary: The nature of isotopes of a near lattice is considered. By introducing the notion of a superstandard element n in a near lattice S, it is shown that for a medial element n, the n-isotope \(S_ n\) is a semi-lattice which is also a nearlattice when n is neutral and sesquimedial. It is also shown that for a neutral sesquimedial element n, S is distributive iff \(S_ n\) is so.
