Stochastic decompositions in the M/G/1 queue with generalized vacations. (English) Zbl 0585.90033
The authors show that the M/G/1 decomposition property holds for all M/G/1 queueing models of a quite general form. Also complex M/G/1 models can be easily solved as per propositions 2 and 3 given in this paper. This work has its direct application to telecommunication systems.
