Kraevym Zadacham 20, 104-115 (1983). Already earlier the authors together with Eh. Eh. Khajrullin have studied inverse problems on the filtration from a channel without a water-surface ascent [ibid. 13 (1976)]. Here the case of the presence of a water-surface ascent is investigated. By means of variational theorems an analytic solution of the inverse boundary value problem of the filtration from a channel is constructed. At this for given diagrams of the filtrational outflow the profile of the channel and the depression curves are determined.
