Une courbe irréductible non lissifiable dans \({\mathbb{R}}^ 3\). (An irreducible nonsmoothable curve in \({\mathbb{P}}^ 3)\). (French) Zbl 0591.14021
Example of an irreducible nonsmoothable curve in \({\mathbb{P}}^ 3\) which is not the flat limit of a family of smooth curves. Previously the author and A. Hirschowitz [in Algebraic geometry, Proc. Conf., Sitges (Barcelona) 1983, Lect. Notes Math. 1124, 98-131 (1985; Zbl 0574.14028)] had exhibited examples of reducible nonsmoothable curves in \({\mathbb{P}}^ 3\). J. Harris [”Curves in projective space”, Sém. Math. Supér. 85 (Univ. Montréal 1982; Zbl 0511.14014)] had given irreducible examples in \({\mathbb{P}}^ r\), \(r\geq 10\).
