Crighton, David G. The Kutta condition in unsteady flow. (English) Zbl 0596.76037 Annual Review of Fluid Mechanics 17, 411-445 (1985). [For the entire collection see Zbl 0591.00021.] This review first describes the nature of and basis for a Kutta condition in unsteady flow. This is followed by a brief summary of the many applications of the Kutta condition and the fundamental role that it now appears to play. Finally, we discuss its possible further applications and those aspects calling for theoretical or experimental elucidation.
