Boundary integral ”equation” methods for the Signorini-Fichera problem. (English) Zbl 0599.73117

In the present paper we formulate for the Signorini-Fichera problem a direct and an indirect integral ”equation” method. Due to the unilateral character of the BVP we cannot apply the same procedure as for the classical BVPs in elasticity. As a result we obtain multivalued integral equations termed also integral inclusions, both in the direct and in indirect approach. Note that both approaches retain for the Signorini- Fichera BVP only a few of their characteristics as we know them in the case of the classical BVPs of elastostatics.
