The main results of the structure theory of compact associative rings are carried over to compact alternative and compact Jordan rings. In particular, it is shown that if \(K\) is an alternative or Jordan ring, then its quasiregular radical \(J(K)\) is a closed topologically nilpotent ideal and \(K/J(K)\) is a direct product of simple finite rings of Tikhonov topology.
