Controllability of perturbed nonlinear delay systems. (English) Zbl 0614.93011

The complete controllability of perturbed, nonlinear, nonstationary, continuous-time dynamical systems with lumped and distributed delays in the state variables is considered. Using the Schauder fixed-point theorem sufficient conditions for complete controllability on the fixed, finite time interval are established. The given results extend to the case of delays in the state variables the previous controllability conditions concerning dynamical systems with delays in the control [see the reviewer, Automatica 12, 633-634 (1976; Zbl 0345.93014) and Int. J. Control 31, 811-819 (1980; Zbl 0462.93009)].
