Agurejkin, V. A.; Kryukov, B. P. The method of individual particles to calculate flows of multicomponent media with large deformations. (Russian) Zbl 0619.76119 Chislennye Metody Mekh. Sploshnoj Sredy 17, No. 1, 17-31 (1986). The presented method is used to solve instationary dynamics problems of compressible media. The algorithm uses the idea of particles in cells. Methods of this type usually generate non-physical fluctuations of the numerical solution. The suggested method tries to overcome this mistake and differs from other algorithms in smooth integration of equations and in the way to define pressure values in the nodes of the numerical network. Moreover the article contains a way to eliminate regions of lost continuity. They arise as a result of the particles model in describing continuous media. As an example the difference scheme of a two- dimensional gasdynamical variant of the method is presented as well as the algorithm to obtain the orientation of free and contact surfaces. This leads to a computation of the behaviour of various materials.
