Asymptotic thermoelastic behavior of flat plates. (English) Zbl 0629.73007
The paper studies the dynamic behaviour of a three-dimensional linearly thermoelastic plate with small thickness. The plate is submitted to an arbitrary system of initial and loading conditions and the limits of stress, displacement and temperature fields are investigated as the thickness approaches zero. Possibilities of weak and strong convergence of the solutions are discussed in dependence of the limits on the initial conditions.
