Second phase matrix of differential systems \(Y''+P(x)Y=0\). (English) Zbl 0631.34043

The concept of the second phase matrix of the differential systems \(Y''+P(x)Y=0\) is introduced, where P(x) is a symmetric positive definite \(n\times n\) matrix. Basic properties of this matrix and relationships between the first and the second phase matrix of the same differential system are investigated.
