Some collocation-like method for the numerical solutions of stiff boundary value problems with turning points is presented. The method is used with the a priori mesh construction algorithm introduced by H.- O. Kreiss, N. K. Nichols and the first author [SIAM J. Numer. Anal. 23, 325-368 (1986; Zbl 0608.65049)].
