A unilateral thermoelastic Stefan-type problem. (English) Zbl 0654.73009
A simplified model for a steady solidification process with continuous extraction and unilateral contact (such as in the continuous casting of an ingot) is considered. The resulting problem is a thermal two phase Stefan problem coupled with a unilateral thermoelastic Signorini problem. An existence theorem is then proved for the weak formulation of this problem.
