Summary: Nonlinear random effects models are considered from the Bayesian point of view. The method of analysis follows closely that of D. Lindley and A. F. M. Smith [J. R. Stat. Soc., Ser. B 34, 1–41 (1972; Zbl 0246.62050)]. The numerical method is related to the EM algorithm.
