Katětov, Miroslav Czech mathematics in the years 1945-1985: topology, category theory, and combinatorics. (Czech) Zbl 0667.01012 Pokroky Mat. Fyz. Astron. 32, No. 4, 191-206 (1987). A survey of results obtained by Czech mathematicians after the World War II. The main topics in topology were analytical and uniform spaces, L- spaces. The most important achievements in category theory concerned combinatorial, algebraic and topological representations of categories, machines in categories, categorical topology. In the field of combinatorics works of primary meaning investigated the Ramsey property of graphs, partitions of finite relational systems and algebraic properties of matroids.
