Knaster’s problem on continuous mappings of a sphere into a Euclidean space. (Russian. English summary) Zbl 0671.55004

Summary: The paper contains a survey of known results and some remarks on the well-known problem of Knaster [B. Knaster, Problem P4, Colloq. Math. 1, 30-31 (1947)] which is concerned with coincidence points of mappings from the n-sphere into Euclidean spaces of lower dimension.
