Far field behavior of solutions to the equations of nonlinear 1-D- thermoelasticity. (English) Zbl 0672.35011
We investigate the far field behavior of solutions to the Cauchy problem in one-dimensional nonlinear thermoelasticity. We make use of the far field behavior of solutions of the linearized equations which is obtained by the Fourier transform, the local-global existence, and the energy and decay estimates of solutions of the nonlinear equations to obtain the desired results.
