Embedded minimal surfaces of finite topology. (English) Zbl 0695.53004

This paper generalizes Costas embedded minimal surface with three ends and genus 1 to arbitrary genus. The basic analytic methods depend on finite topology, and a crucial step of the construction is the relation between symmetries of the embedding and symmetries of its Gauss map.
