Summary: Conservative difference schemes of the predictor-detector type of a higher order for the numerical solution of the equations of gas dynamics are proposed, and these are realized by scalar processing. The principle of the minimum value of the derivatives is used to eliminate oscillations. Examples of the solution of the problem of the breakup of a discontinuity, of the interaction of oblique shocks and of the incidence of a shock wave on a plate are given, which illustrate the high degree of accuracy of the algorithms proposed.
