Souček, Jiří Ornstein-Uhlenbeck process in quantum mechanics and the sub-quantum coherence effect. (English) Zbl 0703.60097 Proc. Winter Sch. Geom. Phys., Srní/Czech. 1988, Suppl. Rend. Circ. Mat. Palermo, II. Ser. 21, 325-341 (1989). [For the entire collection see Zbl 0672.00006.] The author proposed a modification of quantum mechanics which roughly consists in replacing the Wiener process by the Ornstein-Uhlenbeck one in a formal construction of the Feynman quantum-mechanical propagator for the free particle. The new parameters which appear are interpreted as due to the interaction with a hypothetical “tachyonic background”. Some physical consequences of this proposal are discussed.
