Singer, Michael F. An outline of differential Galois theory. (English) Zbl 0713.12005 Computer algebra and differential equations, Colloq., Comput. Math. Appl., 3-57 (1988). [For the entire collection see Zbl 0702.00010.] The author gives an overview of comparatively the recent results in the Galois theory of the linear differential equations. The results are concerned with the first problem of Galois theory mainly and reflect the author’s taste. The paper does not contain new results but it contains a uniform point of view and vast references on the above problem. It may be very useful for initial acquaintance with the subject.
