Régularité des solutions du problème de Riemann. (Regularity of solutions of the Riemann problem). (French) Zbl 0716.35013

L’auteur s’intéresse à la nature de la solution du problème de Riemann: trouver u: \(\sigma\in {\mathbb{R}}\to u(\sigma)\in {\mathbb{R}}^ N\) solution de: \[ (P)\quad f(u)'=\sigma u';\quad F(u)'\leq \sigma E(u)';\quad u(-\infty)=u_ g,\quad u(+\infty)=u_ d, \] où f: \({\mathbb{R}}^ N\to {\mathbb{R}}^ N\); F et E: \({\mathbb{R}}^ N\to {\mathbb{R}}\) de classe \(C^ 2\) avec \(F'(u)=E'(u)\circ f'(u).\)
Si le système est hyperbolique strict fortement nonlinéaire (toutes les valeurs propres de \(f'(u)\), \(\Lambda_ p(u)\), sont réelles et distinctes et pour le vecteur propre associé on a \(\Lambda '_ p(u)\cdot \Gamma_ p(u)\neq 0)\), alors toute solution \(u\in L^{\infty}_{loc}\) de (P) est composée de \(N+1\) états constants (au plus) séparés par (au plus) N ondes élémentaires. Ces ondes sont ordonnées comme les valeurs propres du système (Theorem 1).
On trouve l’étude des chocs, la régularité \(C^ 1\) hors des chocs, la structure des solutions hors des points de dégénérescence de \(\phi '(\cdot,u(\cdot))\) où \(\phi (\sigma,v)=(\sigma,f(v)-\sigma v)\).
