[The articles of this volume will not be indexed individually.]
This volume contains a collection of papers which present different aspects of the most recent research in the phase transitions, one of the fundamental problems of physics. The material of part I “continuum mechanics” is divided into 4 sections: a-liquid crystals; b-elastic crystals; c-fluids, d-general theory. Part II “mathematical analysis” emphasizes the mathematical aspects of present subject and includes papers dealing with the study of oscillations, singular solutions, admissibility of shock waves, role of higher order perturbations.
