Kreith, Kurt Conjugate points of fourth order differential equations with impulses. (English) Zbl 0723.34027 Differ. Integral Equ. 1, No. 4, 391-398 (1988). Summary: Selfadjoint fourth order differential equations of the form \((p_ 2(t)y'')''-(p_ 1(t)y')'+p_ 0(t)y=0\) are considered in a general context which allows for distributional terms in the coefficients. Criteria are established for the existence and non-existence of conjugate points for such equations.
