Large-amplitude periodic oscillations in suspension bridges: Some new connections with nonlinear analysis. (English) Zbl 0725.73057

The paper surveys an area of nonlinear functional analysis and some applications. Among the applications is large amplitude bending of beams and suspension bridges. The existence and multiplicity of periodic solutions of several models is studied.
