Grant, David A generalization of a formula of Eisenstein. (English) Zbl 0738.14019 Proc. Lond. Math. Soc., III. Ser. 62, No. 1, 121-132 (1991). A classical formula of Eisenstein generates elliptic units by evaluating elliptic functions at torsion points of \(y^ 2=x^ 3+1/4\). A generalization to genus two is derived by evaluating Abelian functions at intersections of divisors on the Jacobian of the curve \(y^ 2=x^ 5+1/4\).
